Worth going in prepared. It's very good and it's not fun, and I don't think it's trying to be.
The dialogue is fantastic. She has an ear for the way people talk around the thing they mean.
The power dynamic at the centre is handled without flinching or moralising, which makes it much harder to read than a straightforwardly angry book would be. Effective.
After the memoir I wasn't sure what to expect and this is the real thing — uncomfortable, funny in a bleak way, and completely unwilling to let anyone off the hook. Read it in one day.
